The weather was iffy. 20% chance of rain. Should we gamble and make the 2+ hour drive to Dallas or reschedule? It was chilly with a heavy mist surrounding our vehicle as we headed towards Dallas, but we were optimistic that the weather would cooperate, so we kept on trucking. As we got closer to the Arboretum, the sun started peeking through little holes in the clouds! I’m so glad we didn’t reschedule because we experienced perfect photo weather at the Dallas Arboretum!
My friend Cheryl’s daughter lives in the Dallas area and thought the Arboretum would be a perfect place to take her bridal portraits. I’m so thrilled that she chose this location because the gardens are spectacular (as was my bride)! Amber looked stunning! She looked every bit the princess in the lush gardens of the Arboretum. I had a great time with Cheryl and Amber (but probably wore them out) and feel blessed to be a part of this special time in Amber’s life!
There were so many beautiful pictures of Amber, that I had a hard time deciding on a favorite. Here are a few that made my “favorite” list. Did I mention that — Amber looked stunning?
If you’ve never been to the Dallas Arboretum, please take time to visit them. You’ll be hooked! Thank you to the Dallas Arboretum for making their grounds available to brides and their photographers!!!!

Gorgeous. Gorgeous!
The light was brilliant, glad you didn’t cancel either! Is this all natural light? Any reflectors or off camera lighting used? Wonderful job!
Thank you Andrew! I started out with just natural light. Then moved to the sun as backlight and a gold reflector for fill in. I used a gold reflector with a flash fun in some of the really shady areas for a little extra oommppph!
